High Quality Design Expertise in Melbourne

LBA design (Laurence Blyton and Associates) is a prominent practice that prides itself on high quality design in the fields of landscape architecture, urban design and furniture design. We have had the privilege of being involved in some of the largest and most prestigious projects in Melbourne whilst working closely in conjunction with some of Melbourne’s best-known architects, developers, corporate clients and public authorities.

Our small practice size is a deliberate policy to enable ease of association with multi-disciplinary teams and optimise a flexible, attentive and personalised service to our clientele. Central to our flexibility is the ability to expand and contract to meet specific project requirements, keeping overheads both to a minimum and specific to the project.

A Team Player

LBA design is a team player. This stems from a heart-felt conviction in the importance of a seamless integration of architecture and the exterior environment.

We believe this can only occur when clients and designers take a hand in hand role in the design evolution of the project, sharing common goals and design philosophies.

A Flexible and Integral Design Team

An integral design emanates from an integral design team. We have a dedicated team with a full time commitment to the profession.

Laurence Blyton has a personal and leading role in all stages thus ensuring continuity throughout the design process.

Specific Experience – the Key to Efficiency and Creating the Best Solution

LBA design has had extensive experience in completing projects of all scales, in particular in the field of urban design, elevated roof gardens on structures and in complex and sophisticated spaces around buildings. Our experience with the design of both hard and soft landscape within the demanding Melbourne CBD, Southbank and Docklands environments, as well as in the developing parts of Asia, has equipped us with valuable insight into the efficient and effective treatment of complex pedestrian spaces in the urban environment.
